Xuan’s projects are based on art and social participation. They are often presented as installations, events and performances in public spaces. She also experiments with other methods/strategies and possibilities of art and social engagement for linking more people with different backgrounds and different communities.She focuses on the following themes: art for social justice, art connect community and rural and poverty areas, the expansion of participatory art, art in public space under political influence, earth art, Chinese contemporary art, documentary film, and art practices in daily life.
